Many businesses offer free meals or other offers for active and retired military personnel as a "thank you" for their service for Veteran's Day. Here is a list of some of the offers available. Please leave a comment if you find any other Veteran's Day offers. Be sure to call ahead to check that your local business is participating.
- Anheuser-Busch parks - Any active duty, activated or drilling reservist, or Guardsman is entitled to free admission under the HERE's to the Heroes program.
- Applebee's - Veteran's and Active duty personnel eat free on November 11, 2012.
- Bed and Breakfast's for Vets - "Inns and B&Bs throughout North America will open their doors to active and retired military and vets and one guest and say thank you for your service by offering a free room to those who've served in the military on Sunday, November 11th, 2012."
- Colonial Williamsburg - Active duty, reservists retirees, veterans and their dependents receive free admission for the entire weekend of November 9th-November 12th 2012.
- Denny's - Free all-you-can-eat pancakes to active, inactive and retired military personnel on Monday November 12th.
- Golden Corral - The 12th annual military appreciation "Thank You" dinner will be held from 4PM-9PM on November 12th. The free dinner meal is a special "thank you tribute" to any person who has ever served in the United States Military. If you are a veteran, retired, currently serving in the National Guard or Reserves, you are invited to join us for Golden Corral's Military appreciation Monday dinner.
- Hooters - 10 Free boneless wings for Veteran's on 11/11/12.
- Knott's Berry Farm - Knott's annual tribute to our military starts November 1st. Free admission for Veterans or current serving military personnel and one guest with proper I.D. presented at the turnstile. Plus purchase up to six additional tickets for just $19 each! End November 21st.
- McCormick and Schmick's Seafood Restaurants - Get a complimentary item from a special menu on 11/11/12 for military personnel.
- Outback Steakhouse - On 11/11 and 11/12 get a free bloomin;' onion and coke to all Veterans and active duty military. Also receive a Military Mate 10% discount from 11/13-12/31.
- Texas Roadhouse - Free lunch from 11 AM- 2 PM on 11/12 for Veterans.
