I remember shopping at Costco and thinking to myself that I would save a lot of money by purchasing the giant bottle of shampoo. Since I started using coupons, I have realized that bigger is not always better when purchasing most food and household items. Many companies offer high-value coupons that do not specify the product size. Many coupons do not exclude trial versions allowing you to purchase these sizes inexpensively and sometimes you can even receive them free.
There was a coupon for $1 off one Cascade product. The trial-sized 3 packs of Cascade Complete were only $.97 at Walmart and $1.09 at Target. There was also a $1 off any one Tide product coupon.
Buy 4 Trial-Sized Cascade at $.97 each at Walmart
Use (4) $1 off any one Cascade product from the 07/31 Proctor & Gamble insert (Expires 8/31). The coupon does state that there is a limit of 4 like coupons per trip.
Final Price: Free
Buy 4 Trial-Sized Tide Detergent $.97 each at Target
Use (4) $1 off any one Tide product from the 07/31 Proctor & Gamble insert (expires 8/31). The coupon does state that there is a limit of 4 like coupons per trip.
Final price: Free
Remember that many stores have started to limit the number of "like" coupons that you can use per trip so combine these purchases with other trial items and your weekly shopping trips to save time and money! Trial sizes are a great way to save money and they are also nice to have on hand to take with you when you travel.
